QLD Planning Schemes
The planning programs provide a meeting point of disciplines concerned with regional, urban and economic development. It has become the common ground for workers who require an interdisciplinary focus on problems associated with regional and town planning.

The Planning programs cover two themes:

Regional and Town Planning
Aims to provide a framework for planners in urban and regional planning at both undergraduate and post graduate levels. These programs cover all aspects of the planning process. The programs at undergraduate and post graduate levels are accredited by the Planning Institute of Australia.

Development Practice (Development Planning)
Aims to respond to the need for planners in developing countries who wish to receive advanced training in sophisticated techniques and methods in the planning and management of human settlements and the environment in their respective countries. Although these programs are aimed primarily at planners in developing countries, they are also available to Australian graduates who wish to work in developing countries.
